Me (far right) with two fellow pilgrims in the Holy Land.

Life is a journey and not a destination.

How often have we heard that quote? God has made my life a journey. I grew up Catholic in Chicago and after college I married, began working, started having children and was living the life I thought I was destined to live. That is when I veered course onto a new path. A move to Georgia, going from working mom to stay at home mom and finding a new parish to call home was a big change for me. I found my passion for volunteering and was part of the teen program at the church for years. A pilgrimage to the Holy Land changed the course of my life yet again. I met Jesus there is such a personal way that I knew I would return and bring others with me. I began leading my own pilgrimages and travel back every year with a new group hoping God touches their life like he did mine. I felt God was calling me to even more, so I applied for my masters. I recently graduated with my masters in Christian Spirituality with a concentration in Spiritual Direction from Loyola University Chicago. My current path has me offering Spiritual Direction to all those who are looking for where God is working in their lives, bringing all those who would like to experience the life of Christ in the place where he lived on pilgrimage and helping young adults navigate their faith life and their place in the church. The journey continues…

“The first task of seeking guidance then is to touch your own struggles, doubts, and insecurities—in short, to affirm your life as a quest. Your life, my life, is given graciously by God. Our lives are not problems to be solved but journeys to be taken with Jesus as our friend and finest guide.”
